A few years ago, Tiffany Guerrero had no idea she’d have a career in solar.
In 2021, she was earning her master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. But spending so much time in online classes during the pandemic—on top of hearing a friend rave about their job in solar—left her yearning for a different professional path.
She switched gears and joined 360 Industrial, a national commercial construction staffing firm. There, she was trained in wire management and quality control. She loved the hands-on work and decided to pursue it full time.
As a Quality Assurance Technician II, Tiffany “gets to see the whole process of how a site is built from the ground up. You aren’t locked into one area.” She’s also excited about the role Quality plays at BRP.
“Quality isn’t just here to do inspections. For example, at our Texas site we had some issues with inverters that needed to be replaced. Electrical, Construction and Quality all communicated and came together to solve the problem. We’re building relationships with other departments so we can all create a better product together.”
Because she finishes what she starts, Tiffany did complete her degree. But she doesn’t plan on entering the mental health field anytime soon.
“My goal is to continue progressing at BRP. In the next few years, I hope to be in a leadership position to help other employees like me be successful.”
