Blue Ridge Power is thrilled to be the recipient of the United Way’s Spirit of North Carolina Award for Investment in Long-Term Sustainable Impact.
With our $73,000 donation to install rooftop solar, the United Way of Asheville and Buncombe County estimates a 60% monthly savings on energy costs for their office building—giving them $20,000 annually to reinvest in their work to improve education, financial stability and health for all in our community. In addition to the financial contribution, Blue Ridge Power managed the procurement, logistics and installation of the project.
United Way of North Carolina’s annual Spirit of North Carolina Award celebrates individuals and organizations for their exemplary partnership demonstrated through fundraising and volunteer efforts, outstanding leadership and creative team building.
